ADAMJEE PHARMACEUTICALS (PVT) LTD

In 1986, the M. H. Adamjee Group bought over an existing pharmaceuticals company by the name of Samco Laboratories (Pvt) Ltd, and later (in 1988), changed the name to Adamjee Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd (APL).

APL has been consistently ranked amongst the top 10% of the pharmaceuticals companies in Pakistan since the turn of the century. It has a state of the art GMP certified manufacturing facility in Karachi, with a covered area of approx 65,000 square feet, manufacturing 178 different brands, which are marketed through 4 business units with a nationwide distribution system. Some products are also exported to a number of Central Asian countries, African countries, Sri Lanka and Myanmar.

APL specializes in CNS products and is the largest in Pakistan in this therapeutic category in terms of units. It markets a wide range of anti-depressant and anti-anxiety drugs, tranquilizers and anti-psychotics. It is the brand leader in Pakistan for the following APIs: Trazadone (Deprel), Risperidone (Risp), Lithium Carbonate (Neurolith), Haloperidol (Dosik) and Procyclidine (Kempro). APL also markets a wide range of antibiotics, proton pump inhibitors and related gastrointestinal products, NSAIDs, antihistamines and antifungals. Equipped with a separate dedicated facility, a range of oral cephalosporins are also produced. Over the years APL has developed a reputation for being a highly ethical company making excellent quality medicines at very reasonable prices.
