COASTAL ENTERPRISES (PVT) LTD

In 1987, CEL commenced mining operations in the Baluchistan and KPK provinces of Pakistan, for the extraction of chrome ore. Over the years, production has been geared mainly towards the export of high grade metallurgical and refractory grade ores to China, Japan, South Korea and Europe, as well as local supplies to the domestic chemical industries. 
 
Subsequently, CEL diversified into the mining and trading of a variety of different ores and minerals for both export and domestic supply, namely manganese ore, talc, fluorspar and quartz.

CEL has worked with and supplied to some of the top names in the industry including Sinosteel Corp, Sinochem Group, Sino-Trust Group, Qinghua Refractories, Yingkou High Tech Synthetic Refractories Co. Ltd, Zhenda Refractories, Dalian Haichen Minchem Co. Ltd, etc in China; JFE Mineral & Alloy Co. Ltd, Shinagawa Refractories Co. Ltd, Krosaki-Harima Corp, TYK Corp, Matsumura Sangyo Co. Ltd, Fuji Talc Industrial Co. Ltd, etc in Japan; POSCO Group, Sekyung Corp and Il Shin Materials Co. Ltd in South Korea; Glencore International AG, RHI Magnesita GmbH (Austria), Thyssenkrupp Materials Trading GmbH (Germany), Slovmag A.S. Lubenik (Slovakia) in Europe and; Shinagawa Refractories Australasia. In 2024, CEL’s business was transferred to a new entity, Hamsa Minerals, which essentially operates in the same manner with the same products and same management – the only difference being that the (ex) employees of CEL are now shareholders in HM.
